Apple iPod Nano and the Future of Music
Think about an object weighing less than 40g and can take 25000 or more snapshots, can play music for 24/7, can be suspended from your neck, we are talking about Apple iPod Nano. It has good looks and color, great sound, huge memory and reasonably priced.
As per the requirement the memory changes from 2 GB to 8 GB which has the capacity to store more than two thousand songs. It can download music fast, average download timeis four minutes or less. If Apple iPod Nano can store so many songs in that tiny device, imagine where the nano technology is leading. The time is not far away when you can store the entire 60GB into that small device,that’s a computer in a chip!
The present battery can last to twenty four hours straight and can be recharged in ninety minutes to 80% capacity although full charge may take up to three hours. As the future technology is more of ‘nano’ type, Apple is already making headway in music industry. Directly or indirectly it has helped in popularising the music industry, has helped sell many records and has encouraged the consumer to buy the computer which is a necessity to download the music, although other alternatives are possible.
Apple has come to the limelight again. The old saying is necessity is the mother of invention. Hopefully, these inventions, someday, will make these products a necessity!
