Sony PSP, A next generation gizmo
It’s a next generation thing. Sony PSP (Play Station Portable) handheld device can make voice and video calls over a wireless connection through internet. Expected to be released in September, the Sony PSP has camera and microphone including games and will be able make other PSP users and BT phones. As the software is developed by BT (British Telecommunications), initially the service will only be available in the UK and will gradually allow Sony PSP owners to call PCs, mobiles and fixed lines.
Currently, these are widely used in airports, railway stations and hotels. The service will enable voice over internet protocol (VoIP) using mobile devices. It is a method of routing voice chats over the internet which was made popular by Skype, Yahoo and Google.

Sony PSP has MP3, video playback, web browser. It has 333MHz MIPS R4200 Processor, 32 MB memory and a conncectivity range of 100 ft (30 meterrs) with wi-fi.
